Thank you for inquiring about our exciting new service to provide you with a copy of your FBI criminal history background report, or proof that one does not exist, WITHIN 24 HOURS of processing.
The federal law that allows this access is referenced in Departmental Order 556-73 (www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/criminal-history-summary-checks). This special access was granted to select FBI contracted channeling companies in July, 2011. Accurate Biometrics is proud to say we were the first FBI approved channeler to offer this personal review service to individuals. Prior to July, 2011, in order for a person to get their own FBI background check, they would have to submit their fingerprints for their personal review using postal mail; a process that takes 6 – 8 weeks.
Today, using Accurate Biometrics’ expedited service, an individual can now receive their personal FBI report within 24 hours of fingerprint processing by Accurate Biometrics, rather than waiting 6 – 8 weeks for the FBI response. We have developed an easy to use customer web portal for quick retrieval of the FBI report. Plus, as an FBI contracted channeling agency, Accurate Biometrics can capture an individual’s fingerprints using livescan fingerprint scanners (an inkless process), or we can process an ink fingerprint card if an applicant is not near a livescan site but has access to local law enforcement who may capture the fingerprints using the ink and roll method.
Accurate Biometrics can now provide the FBI Criminal History Response required to obtain an apostille. If you require an apostille, you must send the authenticated document you received from Accurate Biometrics to the State Department for further action. The mailing address for the State Department is listed below or refer to the following link http://travel.state.gov/content/travel/english/legal-considerations/judicial/authentication-of-documents/office-of-authentications.html
