Accurate Biometrics is a service corporation dedicated to providing fingerprinting and identity services to public and private sector agencies and organizations.  The results provided allow the agency or organization to make ACCURATE placement and hiring decisions, based on positive identification of applicants and verification of information provided by the applicant.  We have been certified since 1999 to transmit non criminal justice fingerprints electronically to the Illinois State Police. In 2006, we were selected to be one of 19 corporations in the United States to be a direct "channeler" to the FBI.

Our core business is capturing fingerprints.  We do this for organizations and agencies requiring a fingerprint based criminal history background check.  The process we use is called Live Scan Electronic Fingerprinting, and we do this for all types of private and public sector organizations.  Name based background checks ARE NOT based on positive identification. The only way to verify criminal history records is through fingerprinting, because fingerprints are the only means of positive identification supported by the Illinois State Police and the FBI.

Peggy Critchfield, owner and President of Accurate Biometrics, operates this business alongside her husband, Jim.  While Peggy focuses on the financial and technological aspects of the business, Jim Critchfield focuses on the sales, marketing, staffing, and customer service aspects of the business.  The company began in 1999, and was purchased by Peggy Critchfield in April 2005. Peggy brought a great deal of experience from the Retail Service/business to consumer industry; Jim brought a great deal of experience from the Industrial Service/business to business industry.

Accurate Biometrics has assembled a project management, technical, and customer support staff that is committed to working with its customers to make the fingerprint process an enjoyable experience.  Peggy and Jim have invested heavily in technology to make sure everything done is world class, and complies with requirements of customers and the Illinois State Police.  Our fingerprint technicians receive training and instruction in the identification of fingerprints, quality of images, ridge detail, pattern designation, and distinguishing fingerprint characteristics.

Accurate Biometrics is woman owned, and a certified Illinois Small Business, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, with over 40 locations in Illinois.  Today, we are licensed to perform fingerprinting services within the State of Illinois, and our equipment is certified by the Illinois State Police and FBI.
